Presidency Message

Dear Sisters,
As we begin this Christmas season I pray that we might be able to stay focused on what really is the most important part- our families and the love that our Father and the Savior have for all of us. It’s not the gifts, but it’s what the gifts represent. If our hands are the Savior’s hands then our gifts of love can help to share His love as well. We will be focusing on the gift of prayer this month. Pres. Packer said that “it is within this wondrous gift and power that the spiritual remedy to any problem can be found.” As you read the conference talks (pp 6, 43, 81, 21) you will learn how to use this gift to help you discern the needs in your families and neighbors and how to meet those needs. The power and the help are there, all we have to do is knock and it will be opened unto us. “Learn to pray. Pray often, Pray in your mind, in your heart. Pray on your knees. Prayer is your personal key to heaven. The lock is on your side of the veil.”…Our infinitely compassionate Heavenly Father desires that we draw near to Him so that He can draw near to us.” We pary that the Spirit of the Lord will be with you and your families this Christmas and that we can all feel the joy of His love.
Our love to all of you
Janet

P.S. Please help us pray that we might be able to find those who need some help this Christmas-member and non-member alike- and that we’ll know how best to help them. Thanks for the service you already so willingly do.
